The School is located in a posh South Delhi locality Safdarjung Enclave The aesthetically designed school building, beautiful garden and playground is designed to cater to the needs of young, growing children. No efforts have been spared in creating an environment in which students are challenged to seek excellence academically, socially, physically and artistically. The Classrooms, with well supported audio-visual aids ensure a vibrant and dynamic environment for the teaching-learning process. The learning process does not remain restricted only to the classrooms; it is further amalgamated by ‘hands-on’ experience in the well-equipped labs and playground. The school boasts of most of the modern facilities a well-stocked air-conditioned Library, Audio-Visual room, Amphitheater.
At GFS, games and sports form an integral part of the School Curriculum. Sports at school include International Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Gymnastics, NCC, Table Tennis, Skating, Volleyball, Yoga. Our students at all level have excelled in various Zonal, District, State and National level.
The School Clinic offers Medical care to all students. GFS has a panel of doctors who can be referred to in case of an emergency. A qualified Homeopathic Doctor visits the school thrice a week. Periodical medical check-ups are conducted to monitor health and fitness care to all students. The school also has in-house team of nurses to take care of all emergencies as well as first aid medication. In case of emergency or accident, the students are referred to the (AIIMS) trauma centre. The medical staff arranges for routine medical treatment as well as health promotion activities such as an annual check-up, dental and ophthalmologic camps.
To cope with adolescent problems and other behavioral and learning the school has Trained Counselors and Special Educators to guide parents, students, teachers and children. They are especially trained in this area and interact with these children on a one-to-one basis. Parents may meet them by prior appointment or communicate through telephone and email from Monday-Friday between 8.00a.m.-1.00 p.m on all working days.
