“Christmas! ‘It’s the season for kindling the fire of hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart.”
It was a day when the most endeared Santa Claus in his elegant costume and white fluffy beard, came calling on children. Students celebrated Christmas with great zeal and joy. There was an air of festivity all around. Glittering Christmas trees decked with shiny balls and tinsel adorned the corridor.
The foyer was decorated with banners, posters, festoons and buntings strung from the ceiling. Fragrance of flowers, carol tunes and aroma of cakes, cookies and candies wafted in the air. Children danced, sang and feasted merrily to their hearts’ content.
A special assembly was organised where students depicted the birth of Jesus Christ through songs, dances and skit. Santa Claus with his cherubic face, bright smile and brown sack entertained the children and distributed chocolates. Melodious choir, graceful dancers and the blissful carols reflected the mirth and spirit of Christmas. The Director, Mrs. Padma Khanna addressed the students and stressed the importance of being humane and helpful. The programme culminated with students exchanging Christmas greetings.
“ Christmas is like a candy; it slowly melts in your mouth sweetening every taste bud making you wish it could last forever.”…………………
